How to Become Eligible for NDIS Funding for Podiatry

If you or your loved one is living with a disability that affects your feet you or they may be eligible for NDIS funding for physical & podiatric therapy.

According to NDIS to be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a permanent and significant disability
  • Have a plan in place with the NDIS
  • Have a referral from your doctor or an allied health professional
  • We need to be able to demonstrate that podiatry services will help you to participate in everyday activities

If so, you may be eligible for NDIS funding for podiatry. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Make an appointment with your GP. Your GP will need to assess your condition and determine if it meets the NDIS eligibility criteria.
  2. Complete an NDIS plan. Once your GP has approved your application, you’ll need to complete an NDIS plan. This document will outline your goals and objectives for podiatry treatment.
  3. Get in contact with me (a NDIS podiatrist).
  4. Submit your NDIS plan to your NDIA planner. Your NDIA planner will review your plan and approve it if they believe it is reasonable and necessary.
  5. Start receiving podiatry management! Once your plan is approved, you can start receiving podiatry care with me.
